Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy - Rafting – climbing to the volcano Avacha - Valley of the Geysers - Vilyuchinsky waterfall and hot springs - Boat trip to  the island Starichkov.

Welcome to Kamchatka peninsula! Kamchatka is a unique by its natural resources region, famous for its wealth around the World: volcanoes, fishing, Valley of the geysers, hot healing springs  etc. Large region and huge desire of the tourists to see as much as possible, but not everybody have possibility to make it… our company created single-week tour  around Kamchatka, which includes in program most popular tours, that vary by objects and topics. This tour gives opportunity to get to know and get to like this amazing and unique region. Just seven days and your dream comes true!

The program of the tour.

1^st day. Arrival to Kamchatka  peninsula. Meet at the airport Yelizovo an acquaintance with company’s representatives. Bag claim. Transfer to “Orka” camp. Rest. Loop tour at the historical centre of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy city. Short stories about Kamchatka, its flora and fauna, about exploration of the Petropavlovskiy harbor, about great heroic acts. Return to the camp. Night at the “Orca” camp.

2^nd day. Rafting at the river Levaya Avacha. Natural landmark called “Aquarium”. “Aquarium” is unique and stunningly beautiful place: heavy, steep basalt cliffs that are washed by turbulent flow of pure water that overflows into the deep blue backwater, which is formed due to tectonic fault between the rocks. will allow you to have a rest from everyday worries

You will have a rest from daily routine owing to gorgeous coloring of the Kamchatka nature like fresh air, loaded with fragrance of herbs and flowers, pure  tasty water, active leisure. impressive views at volcanoes will be shown to you during rafting: Koryakskiy, Arik, Aag; amazing beauty of the rapids, basalt rocks, caves; and it is possible to see bears and  waterfowls. Stops at scenic countryside are contemplated. We recommend to fans of fishery to take equipment for fishing of loach (e.g. by trolling- Alaska western char is about 50 sm or by Fishing buoy- loach is about 15 sm  ). Equipment: spinning 1.5-25 m, fishing line or fishing cord 0,15-02 mm, spoon hook -3-5.

3^rd day. There will be climbing on active volcano Avachinskaya bald peak. This volcano is double volcano kind of Somme- Vesuvius. Travelers all over the world are delighted with striking likeness with legendary volcano Vesuvius that ruined Pompeii. There are active fumaroles at present time that are associated with various pieces of lava, which fills volcanic vent. The best view is in the top. From the top of the volcano opens a delight view on the city, the ocean and volcanoes.

4^th day. Free day. Breakfast at the “Orka” camp. You can purchase a helicopter tour to the Valley of the Geysers or any other one day trip.

5^th day. There will be a trip to waterfalls of the Spokoiniy stream. Vilyuchinskiye hot springs. Rather small valley is situated at a height of 300 m above a sea level south-eastward from Vilyuchinskiy volcano. It is hidden prying eyes from three sides. The stream Spokoiniy and the river Vilyuchinskaya go down into this valley. Very beautiful waterfall is situated at this compact world and its water falls from 30 m of the height. This waterfall is embosomed in great rocks which are covered by pink Kamchatka rhododendrons. This waterfall popularly is called “Plaits of Veronika” because the rocks look like form of young girl and spilling water resembles her voluminous hair.

Nearly  invisible stream flows out of the smooth hillside and it flows between thick, impenetrable forest, overgrown along the river without any additional noise; then at once it falls into shallow ponds dug in the ground, framed by large rocks and logs of wood. Vilyuchinskiye spring wells do not amaze by their power, scope and landscaping, but they are decorated with travertine domes and dense colonies of thermophilic algae. Temperature of the water at pools changes from cool to hot water which can be used to bathe legs. That’s why people who make an ablution can choose the pool at their pleasure and feeling.

6^th day. Boat tour to island Starichkov. This tour begins from output of the  boat to the bay Tikhaya, the island Babushkin Kamen and beak-head Stanitskiy. Next boat moves to the Island Mountains “Tri brata”, which are one of the trademarks of Petropavlovsk (way time is approximately 1 hour). Brief stop is contemplated for amateur photography here. Sea voyage to the island Starichkov (Avacha Gulf aquatorium), observation of the marine mammals and bird colonies. A fishery.  At the time of the stop dive-guide will collect at the ocean floor the urchins, crabs, and you will be able to eat them with relish. Sea urchin roe is 1 of the most valuable seafood, extraordinary rich by protein, and it can be used in the prophylaxis of many diseases. Fish soup from salmon id fishes, seafood dishes made of fresh seadood are essential parts of the boat tour.

7^th day. Accompanying service at departure.

Note: Helicopter tours are carried out under favorable weather conditions. The tour program can be changed  under the reasons beyond the control of the tour operator.

- three meals daily during all  tour;

- guide services during all  tour;

- accommodation at the “Orca” camp;

- basic equipment (tents, rafts etc);

- transportation services (a bus, a cross-country car, boat);

 

The tour excludes:

-          a purchase of the strong drinks and cigarettes;

Diving -  Avachinsky volcano -  rafting at the river Bystraya -  Geyser valley

You will visit unique places of the undersea world of the Pacific Ocean during dive-tour.  Undersea world of Kamchatka is passionate, most often unpredictable environment, where everyone feels just like a small part of the Great World. It lures, simultaneously frightens and inspires respect. There is more than 350 types of the fish, seals, sea lions, sea otters, octopus, walrus, whales,  sea urchins  and Alaska King crab which are loved by gourmands.

1^st day. Arrival , meet at the airport of the Yelizovo, transfer to the recreation camp, accommodation and rest. You can go to sauna located at the area of the recreation camp making reservation. 

2^nd day. Check dive. Pilot dive will be made at the bay. The second place for dive will be based according to the weather conditions. . Excellent seafood breakfast and dinner will be waiting for you at the shipboard.

3^rd  day. Voyage to “Starichkov” island by motor boat.

4th  day. Voyage to “Starichkov” island by motor boat.

5th day. Vouage to "Russkaya" bay by motor boat.

6^th day. Free day. (There will be organized a loop-tour at Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy with attendance of the giftshops, fish market, etc. or trip to the  thermal/radon springs with swimming)

7,8,9^th days. Rafting with 2 rapids at “Bystraya” river. On the way you can fish, pick mushrooms and berries, look on wild duck and sea-gulls, see bears and Steller's sea eagle . All these things make a rafting very interesting and entertaining. Breakfast, dinner, supper are on the bank of the river. Camp is in fixed site campgrounds.

10th day. Tour is on the ATV to volcano Avachinskiy. The route is about 40-60 km. This tour is both for ATV amateurs and for people, who never used a 4-wheleer, and who wants to get outside of the driving quad bikes in cross-country conditions.

11^th day. Free day. It’s possible to visit geyser valley – Uzon volcano’s caldera: a fly around the volcanoes Karymskiy and Maliy Semyachik; walking tour around this valley; overflight to tour to Uzon volcano’s caldera; conducted  tour; return; duration is 6 hours.

12^th day. Transfer to airport. A flight.

 

The minimum group should consist of 8 people.

 

The tour includes:

- personal accommodation at a base "Orca";

- transfer according to program;

- diving (two dives a day);

-balloons (12 lts), weghtbelts;

- diving guide;

- lunch at a ship;

Geyser valley – Avachinsky volcano - rafting at the river Bystraya - boat trip - Mutnovskiy volcano – Gorely volcano- it is very informative, intensive and varied tour that introduces in very short terms with the brightest of tourism anchors of Kamchatka.

You will visit unique places of Kamchatka during the tour: active volcanoes Avachinskiy and Mutnovskiy, which are some of the most beautiful volcanoes of Kamchatka. You can see Wonder of the World- unique and wonderful geyser valley. You will go for a sea trip along the Avachinskaya bay and the Pacific Ocean, you will feast eyes on largest breeding site of the sea birds. You will raft at the river Bystraya which flows away between majestic mountains of the Sredinny Range. There will be an opportunity to look on nature of Kamchatka: brown bears, birds, salmon runs in the rivers. During the tour you will be able to swim at natural hot springs and pools with thermal waters.

1^st day. Meet at the airport. Passage to Petropavlovsk (25 km). Accommodation at “Orka” camp, rest, promenade around the city, 20.00 p.m. is a dinner with guide, discussions about program.

2^nd day. Free day. People who want can make a helicopter tour to geyser valley and caldera of the volcano Uzon with fly around of the Karymskiy (1486m) and Maliy Semyachik (1560 m) volcanoes. Walking tours alongside the geyser valley and Uzon volcano’s caldera, swimming at natural hot springs named “Zhupanovskiye”.

3^rd day. Climbing on Avachinskiy volcano (2749 m) . this journey lasts for 5-6 hours and descent of the mountain lasts for 2-3 hours.

4^th day. Journey to Paratunka settlement. Swimming at the pools with hot thermal water. Return to the  camp.

5^th day. Transfer by cars to the river Bystraya (120 km). beginning of the rafting by inflatable rafts. The rafting takes place between majestic mountains of the Sredinny Range at the river with two rapids, which is safe enough for first-timers and the most important that these places are between untouched nature. Supper will be near the campfire with fish soup. Camping will be in the wild.

6^th day. We continue the rafting with crossing 2 rapids. You can fishing, pick mushrooms and berries, look on wild duck and sea-gulls, and if you are lucky you will see bears and Steller's sea eagle All this things make the rafting very interesting and entertaining. . Camping will be in the wild.

7^th day.  We complete the rafting by crossing 1 rapid. Transfer by car on the roads of high trafficability to Petropavlovsk city (180 km). Accommodation on the “Orka” camp.

8^th day. Day cruise to Avachinskaya bay (5-6 hours). Visit of the breeding site of the sea birds of the islands “Babushkin Kamen” and “Tri brata”. Sea walking to the island “Starichkov”.

The car tour of the high comfort goes to Mutnovskiy volcano at the close of the tour (100 km). Camping.

9^th day. There will be climbing to the volcanic crater of the Mutnovskiy volcano (2323 m). Viewing of the active steam vents, mountain lake. Volcanic crater of the Mutnovskiy volcano is one of the brightest volcanic phenomena of the Kamchatka. High walls surround wide and deep crater cavity with glistening glaciers split by cracks and attacks of the boiling fumaroles (climbing lasts 8 hours). Camping is in the wild.

10^th  day. Climbing to Gorely volcano (1829 m), walking on lava flow, slag fields, seeing three craters with little lakes (tour lasts 6 hours). Transfer to the "Orka" camp in the evening.

11^th day. Breakfast. Visiting of the fish market. Shopping. Transfer to the airport.

 

 Helicopter tour to the Valley of the Geysers and the Uzon volcano caldera is conducted under favorable weather conditions and it is extra paid. 

The minimum group is at least 8 people.
